Ferguson businesses – the ones that were still standing after the Michael Brown riots in November – brought in local militias to protect their property from violent protesters, looters and arsonists.
The militias provided security for the businesses after the government failed to do so. (Aljazeera)
On Monday seven armed Oathkeepers arrived back in Ferguson to help provide security to the businesses
The men were seen carrying automatic rifles and sidearms as they announced they were there to protect a media organization. But they sparked swift criticism from police and protesters alike.
The appearance of the four men, all white, quickly drew stares in the mostly black neighborhood, which exploded into violence again on Sunday night as protesters marked the police killing of an unarmed black teen a year ago…
…St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar condemned their appearance in Ferguson.
‘Their presence was both unnecessary and inflammatory,’ he said, adding that police would work with county prosecutors to see if the men had broken any laws.

Can I ask some stupid questions?
If black lives are being snuffed out by police for no reason at all on a regular basis, why is it that the poster boy “martyrs” such as Michael Brown are criminals?
Why is no mention ever made of non-black suspects who die in police custody?
Why is there a presumption that in any altercation with police and black suspects, that if anything goes wrong, the police must be at fault?
Why are they protesting only the tiny number of black suspects who die as a result of police action, but have nothing to say about thousands of blacks killed each year by other blacks, if it’s true that BLACK LIVES MATTER?????
Is anyone else disturbed that this whole black lives matter thing started based on a lie??? Remember the hands up don’t shoot meme???? It was later found to be a complete fabrication. Things didn’t happen that way.
Why does nobody ever ask why the police officer wasn’t indicted, if this is obviously, to the black and liberal activists, a case of police brutality or police aggression?
Why does nobody ever ask why, if this is such a cause celebre, that even the sympathetic Obama justice department, when they looked into this case, could find no cause or reason for indictment on federal civil rights charges??? Their own friendly administration couldn’t even find any legal charges to bring, in an allegedly obvious case of police misconduct.
Because common sense has no place in the liberal narrative or agenda.
Those poor people can’t loot business of their property. HOW dare them getting them from getting help to protect them from looters.
Yeah, this could put a crimp in their style. :)
