I just heard on Greta that Carly has a huge support from Univision - her remarks about Trump now make sense. She was under orders to trash him. She would never get my vote.
They ought to be more scrupulously unbiased, and if the rule is always to give someone equal time to respond they ought to have understood that what they did violated their own rule, but they have one eye on what people will say about their own performance and the network's, so maybe they felt they had to address the elephant in the room.
Well, for openers, he went to school when the educational system was still made up predominantly of patriotic Americans. We still had The Lord’s Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance to open each school day.
Trump is certainly well read and well educated, and well travelled, too. I’d wager that he’s as well rounded on the Constitution and the laws of the land as most of the empty suits in Congress.
Debates are over rated and over hyped.
Assuming you just watched the JV debate and intend on watching the Varsity, what exactly do you expect to learn from this circus debate that you haven't already garnered from being an astute observer of the news?

I agree it was unfair to Trump - he was not there to defend himself. I found Carly’s response flip and fake - as if somebody else wrote it for her and had her memorize.
McConnell calls himself a Conservative. Jeb Bush, Graham, Hatch, Boehner. Need I go on? I can call myself the King of Lower Slobovia. Doesn’t make it so. Deeds and actions define, not self proclaimed labels. There are so few Conservatives in national politics. There are so few elsewhere in positions of influence. The rank and file know it. The rank and file hunger for a Reagan or a Goldwater. Heck, the rank and file have just about given this “Republican” party a final chance to be what the people want it to be. They fail, yet again, and the Republicans are dead for 50 years as an influential movement.

The rest of them are either skillful fakes or dilettantes. Carson has flashes of Conservatism. Palin isn't running, though she'd be a middleweight Conservative, if she did. She still needs a bit more seasoning.
Trump certainly isn't conservative. He's hitting the right notes for what people want to hear, but I doubt he'd be capable or even willing to be a conservative leader should he become president.
I have the opposite opinion. If Trump remains calm and collected, he will drop. The people who like him, don’t like him because he is calm and collected.
This is not a debate. This is anything but a debate.
