According to their tax returns, it turns out that essentially all of the Clinton family’s “charitable donations” were directed back to their own “charities”.

It would all be a bit convoluted. You have people on your Board getting high salaries. Meanwhile, you sit on boards of companies THEY control, or their companies hire you for "consulting", etc. Round and round it goes.
We should just cancel Section 501(c) of the tax code, eliminate the idea of "non-profit" and make every entity pay tax.
