I started out methodically researching each candidate. The more I looked into Walker and the situation in Wisconsin, the more I realized we did not need him as President.

As we get more into the campaign, Walker will be challenged on his record. That has already happened with Trump. I have read 4 of Trump’s books with the latest, “Time To Get Tough” on order. I have read Cruz’s book and researched him thoroughly as well.

I think it would be a monumental mistake for Walker to be the nominee. Even if he beat Hillary, which I doubt he would, he would be as bad or worse than Jimmy Carter. He is the most over rated candidate in the race.

I don’t know if you noticed that Trump challenged Walker’s record, but Trump was right. More candidates are going to speak up as the campaign goes on.

Oh my. What nonsense.

I’m from Wisconsin and have lived the Walker years.

Do some of you from out of state not realize this guy came into power in the cradle of progressivism and basically outlawed government unions?

And in the process took control of state government back from the liberal government workers here? And in the process my taxes have gone down significantly the past four years.

Again people may not like Walker because he is a bland personality. But the guy accomplished more ACTUAL victories against big government than anyone since Reagan.

You say - “Cindy Archer is the one talking.”

The article says - “two investigators in Chisholm’s office.”

I think you are a bit confused.

It doesn’t bother you that Gov. Walker tried to cover up his record by repealing the Open Records Law just before he announced? This was reported by Fox and Breitbart to just name two. It was all over Wisconsin publications. The only reason he backed down was because of the huge public backlash. Slick Willie did that in Arkansas to keep his
record from scrutiny.

I think you are going to be surprised at what information comes out in the next months.

And with this comment, you are officially clueless, a troll (or a clueless troll). Either way, you have lost all credibility here. Go away.

Something is always going to come out in the Lefty Swamps of Wisconsin. Its tough to recall (pun intended) but this “investigation” (or gestapo attack) lasted FIVE YEARS. The conservatives that the investigators said were collaborating with Walker had all their emails tapped via their ISP without notification!!!

Walker provided SIXTEEN THOUSAND emails from his time as County Exec and Governor.

THEY COULDN’T FIND ANYTHING. And now the WIsconsin Supreme Court has affirmed that the investigators were wrong in ‘reason and the law’. The Supreme Court has intentionally opened the door for civil lawsuits against the investigators for their fascist civil rights violations.

Only drooling, crack addled leftists believe there is any more to come out. Over to you ConservativeJoy

My number 1. issue is illegal immigration. That is the main reason why I like Trump and Cruz. Walker has had a muddled history with the issue and I do not trust him to do anything to solve the problem because he is very much owned by big donors and the C of C who want that cheap labor.

I look at the records of the candidates and the trust factor. I simply don’t trust Walker.

Our resident leftist troll with another leftist website they use as evidence for being against Scott Walker?

For some reason this site allows this troll to still post threads using leftist websites for his anti walker trolling.

2 weeks ago it was all about how the John Doe investigations being shut down was due to conflict of interests solely on the conservative side.

I have to give you credit though troll you haven’t posted a thread yet complaining about Shirley abrahamsons lawsuit being thrown out.

Must be waiting for talking points from lefty Madison’s favorite websites I guess.

But congratulations are in order since you have more responses in this thread than any other troll thread you’ve started.

Scott Walker's Office Obstructed Probe of Veteran's Money, Investigator's Say Aug. 1, 2015

About John Doe

Separate but related criminal investigations initiated by Milwaukee County prosecutors have examined events and activities during Scott Walker's time as Milwaukee County executive and as governor. Prosecutors have conducted the probes under the state's "John Doe" statutes that grant extraordinary powers to investigators to compel testimony and maintain secrecy.

The first John Doe investigation, begun in 2010, led to convictions of six Walker aides, associates or appointees on charges ranging from theft from a veteran's group to misconduct in office. The second Doe probe, launched in 2012, looked into coordination between conservative political organizations and Walker and other candidates during recall elections.

The second probe was halted in May 2014 by a federal judge who agreed that the investigation denied one of the conservative groups' its free-speech rights. No charges have been filed in the second investigation. Walker has denied wrongdoing.

When Scott Walker was Milwaukee County executive, his office obstructed a criminal probe into thousands of dollars missing from a veterans charity, two investigators said Friday in a federal court filing.

The documents also include recently unsealed investigative records, which provide new insight into the now-closed John Doe probe into close aides and associates of Walker before he was elected governor in November 2010.

The filing came in response to a lawsuit filed by Cindy Archer, an aide to Walker in Milwaukee County and his state administration after he was elected governor.

In her suit, Archer accused Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm and four others of harassment and said they violated her rights during the secret probe, saying she was targeted because of her work on behalf of Walker.

Two of those investigators, David Budde and Robert Stelter, denied those allegations in a filing Friday.

"The County Executive's Office was uncooperative and obstructed the District Attorney's Office's efforts to obtain documentation of the County's receipt and disbursement of donations from Operation Freedom," the filing from two investigators in Chisholm's office reads. "As a consequence, the District Attorney's Office was forced to petition a John Doe proceeding in order to have legal mechanisms to obtain relevant documentation from the County Executive's Office."

Archer and her attorneys could not be reached immediately for comment Saturday.

Neither Archer nor Walker was charged in the probe. None of those prosecuted was charged with obstruction.

Daniel Bice of the Journal Sentinel reported in 2012 that records showed the John Doe investigation was opened in 2010 after investigators said they had been stonewalled by Walker's county executive office. At the time, Assistant District Attorney Bruce Landgraf wrote that Walker's office had been "unwilling or unable" to turn over records.

But Walker has repeatedly said that his office triggered the investigation into the missing veterans fund money by reporting it to the district attorney's office. And he's said the office cooperated with the probe.

Walker campaign spokeswoman AshLee Strong said in a statement: "Prosecutors have said that Governor Walker was not a target. Nothing in this report changes the court rulings in both cases."

Archer filed her case in state court in July.

On Thursday, prosecutors asked U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman to move the lawsuit to federal court.

Archer has accused investigators of a malicious attack on her First Amendment rights.

In Friday's filings, investigators said they believed Archer had been involved in illegal campaign activity, possible bid rigging, and possible open records violations.

The investigators' brief said a criminal complaint was drafted "naming Archer and others," and reviewed by the judge overseeing the John Doe probe. ,p> "While the District Attorney's Office ultimately decided not to issue the draft criminal complaint, it reflects the good faith basis all defendants had in investigating Archer's conduct," the filing reads.

Another document dated Sept. 30, 2011 — about two weeks after the raid on Archer's Madison home — showed that Archer had signed a proffer letter saying she was "interested in providing a statement to law enforcement officials regarding her knowledge of criminal activity in the Milwaukee area and elsewhere."

The filing showed that Archer agreed to provide information to the district attorney's office in exchange for a promise that the interview would not be used directly against her in any criminal or civil proceeding.

The probe, commonly known as John Doe I, led to charges for six Walker aides and associates, including two linked to the theft of more than $70,000 in donations meant for veterans.

Another probe, John Doe II, was later launched as an investigation into alleged illegal coordination between Walker's recall campaign and a number of conservative groups. That case was ended by the Wisconsin Supreme Court in July.

A former top aide to Walker, Tim Russell, was sentenced to two years in prison in January 2013 for stealing more than $21,000 from a nonprofit chosen to administer Walker's annual Operation Freedom veterans picnic at the zoo. Walker had named Russell to lead the group.

Ex-Walker appointee Kevin Kavanaugh was convicted of stealing more than $51,000 from money donated to help veterans and their families. He was sentenced to two years in prison, but served just over half that.

Friday's filing was first reported by the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism.
