I would rather die an excruciatingly horrible death rather than having another human being procreated with the specific intention of harvesting their body parts to save my life.
The very thought is pure evil.
I knew I was going to catch some flame for this, but...
You say you would rather die, can you project that on to your child?
Would you let your child die if a sibling, after birth, could donate bone marrow, would never remember it, and you and your wife knew that you would love that child as much as the dying child?
That’s what we’re talking about, not something like taking the heart, or lungs. That does cross the line. When that becomes the issue, I’ll be the first one on the picket line.
Bone marrow regrows.
You know, like blood, which is generated in the bone marrow.
But the knowledge of the younger, that they were only born as a source for the other sibling?
Or worse, if the parents admit they aborted several others and kept trying (not as likely, because leukemia doesn't always wait around)...
