Bugs needs to get with the times by becoming either transgendered like Caitlyn or coming out of the closet as a flamboyant gay rabbit. Besides his cartoons are full of micro aggressions and might frighten today’s youth who would then need to hide in their safe places.

Chuck Jones, creator of the Looney Tunes, came to Pittsburgh in the late 1980’s when the absurd political correctness on TV was just getting started.

He took to the podium and beseeched his audience to “tell these heavy-handed idiots to stop raping my cartoons!”

I think Bugs, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and the others fall into the public domain in 2019, or four years from now.

Sshhhh, don’t tell anyone. Archer is a small guilty pleasure of mine.
It’s the pinnacle of Jr high school humor, and absurdity.

But you’re right, nowhere near as good as the Warner Bros. Cartoons.

Yes indeed. Mel Blanc was an unmatched talent.

Not to mention, an unmatched human being.

Mel Blanc did voiceover for commercials at union scale. I hired him for a pool of insecticide commercials we were doing.

At the conclusion of the recording session, we got to talking about some of his experiences...and he asked if I had any children.

"Yes, I've a couple."

"How old are they? And what are their names?

I told him...and he turned to the engineer and said "Bring us back up and roll tape."

Whereupon, Blanc did eight minutes of voices, telling a complete story and working my kids' names into it.

That was fifty years ago. That tape remains a family treasure today.

Probably not. Every time it gets close, Di$ney successfully lobbies Congre$$ to retroactively extend copyrights.

Basically, the expiration of copyrights is equal to the life of Mickey Mouse plus 20 years.
