I believe you are right. And I also believe there are people on this forum who very pleased to be siding with Trump’s enemies.

We should hope and pray that you are right. This is our last chance. Obama put us in the toilet. Hitlery would flush us.

Indeed. Should Donald Trump go all the way to win the Republican nomination, there's no doubt he'll demolish whatever Democrat opposes him. Such is the anger of the American people, and their collective will to put an end to the utter destruction emanating from Washington DC.

I am very much ok with seeing Trump win the Presidency with Ted Cruz serving as his VP. That duo could serve a total of sixteen years at the top, which would go a long way toward correcting the structural ills of this country.

If, for some reason, Trump doesn't make it to the finish line in the primary, I think he'll throw his considerable weight behind Ted Cruz for the win. At least that's how I read the tea leaves at this point.

For what it's worth, I'm not pinning any real hopes on any of the other candidates, though a few of them might well serve admirably, if elected.

Great points and very well said. I like your thinking.

Trump would make a good Chief Executive, which is what the president is supposed to be. He wouldn’t put up with any crap and in some ways would emulate Ronald Reagan.

Trump might be exactly what we need at this time.

Trump and Cruz might have sealed some hind of deal in their recent meeting.

I haven’s read the thread yet but I see that he is giving the media hell tonight.

Trump might be exactly what we need at this time. Trump and Cruz might have sealed some hind of deal in their recent meeting.

We've seen smoke, so it's my guess there's definitely fire going on between them. They may have both come to the conclusion that they're natural allies in this fight, and that they're better off working as a team to defeat the Uniparty.

Trump has skills and instincts as a player of ultra high stakes games that the rest of the pack can scarcely comprehend, let alone emulate.

They're hopelessly outmatched by him in a contest such as this, most especially because nearly every one of them is a typical politician who's beholden to their deep pocket donors, the political machine, and lobbyists. They're also cowed and kowtowed by political correctness and the trained-in leftward bent of the reigning GOP-e. They literally wet their pants if the media is mean to them.

Most of them are only capable of giving lip service to the conservative base -- they don't really believe all that 'purist' stuff. Out of the entire bench, Trump and Cruz are the only two who are in this for The People and America.

From where this all sits today, I'd be very much ok with a Trump/Cruz ticket, and would vote for that with no reservations.

Again, that’s a great analysis and perspective.

I was worried that Trump might drop out but now I don’t think so. His whole persona says “let’s get after it”.

And the more the media attacks him the higher his
likeability will go, I think.

Once he really gets started on Hitlery, he’ll make that old bitch melt down.

Something else: If Trump starts lumping Republican politicians in with Democrats in the right way, he might make some of the Reps. grow some cajones.

No doubt about it. The people can't get enough of Trump, and the media are drawn to him like a moth to a flame.

Every day, he says two or three things that make news in a big way. Things that ordinary Americans resonate to, or wag their heads in agreement. And when he drop kicks a wuss like Lindsey Graham, or Anderson Cooper, we even applaud.

The only thing holding his numbers back from skyrocketing, are lingering questions about his past politics and associations. It's hard for a lot of conservatives to ignore some of his former positions, so it's taking a while for them to warm up to the guy. They need convincing that he's truly moved right enough for their comfort.

Dang, you sure make sense.

And I’d say we haven’t seen anything yet. If he gets agitated, he might get mean. Mean in a good way.
