Evacuation for surrounding homes were ordered for nearly 12 hours Saturday, when the search was conducted. Done to prevent videos being made, I would assume.

Methinks, you are on to something here.
I would suspect at least a couple of members of the LAPD’s “elite Robbery-Homicide Division” just may now ‘own’ a couple of new firearms.
