I grew up in So Cal listening to Vin Scully and thankfully, Scully is still announcing. I miss Chick Hearn (1916-2002), John Wooden (1910-2010), and Jim Murray (1919-1998). Scully has a sweet, welcoming, dulcet voice and wonderful stories. Sure, his stories get repeated but it is still fun for the youngsters.
Chick Hearnisms deserve a book by themselves.
