It's about time! To the vast majority of Jewish conservatives, he has been pretty much irrelevant - or worse - for decades. I can sympathize with his plight as a Holocaust survivor as a youngster, but his work at ADL all too often had more to do with playing leftist politics rather than benefiting the Jewish people as a whole and the state of Israel. How fitting for Foxman that his last "blaze of glory" for the ADL would be getting involved in the recent SCOTUS "gay marriage" case on the side of the "gay" plaintiff.
No change for the ADL. The new ADL head comes from the Obama White House.
ADL useless, no help in discrimination defense. Makes a lot of noise, sometimes good - but when it comes to actually helping an injured person, forget it. IMHO a new organization is desperately needed (or maybe ADL can be repaired under new leadership now that there’s finally a vacsncy??). Dear ADL- publicity and press releases are fine, but if you aren’t going to help when actual discrimination occurs, please get out of the way so another organization can step up and do it)
