Well, I don’t really know any “knife” jokes (and I can’t cook either cause I’m English and there are no English restaurants here), but nobody in this town speaks English except me, so I never know what they’re saying.
You just get past the fact that, Yes, they are all talking about you in a foreign language, right in front of you.
