I am not a Southerner. My ancestors didn't live in the South.
I think the Southerners are going about this all wrong.
What they need to do is claim the old Confederate States as a reservation for the Confederate way of life. Minus the slavery.
It's like the Indians have all their reservations. They even have a Federal Bureau, the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
The Indians kept slaves and they fought against the government of the United States when we tried to make them like us.
Look at what they get. Free housing. Free medical care. Free food. Money. Hunt when're they want to. Declare themselves "Sovereign Nations" within the boundaries of the United States.
They aren't Americans when they don't want to be. They vote in the elections of the United States while discriminating against others who can't vote in their elections.
It's a real victory.
Just declare yourself The Confederate Reservation - A Land Dedicated To The First Peoples Of The South.
The Federal government develops the Bureau of Confederate Affairs. Every Southerner gets a job with them.
The money pours in from the North and you still get to vote in US elections!
Or, we could be fair and get rid of the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
Cool..casinos with great barbecue...
We need less government, not more. We need to go back to Free Speech, Freedom of Religion, Freedom to carry guns, andFreedom to kick out of our government, race baiters and left wingers, including hard core communists.
I was thinking more along the lines of a Confederate Olympic team. How many decades ago did they allow Puerto Rico to field its own team based on ‘cultural uniqueness’?
Maybe the C.O.T. could start small - summer games shooting competition. If they managed to earn a medal, just think of the hissy fits from libs (and a few FReepers) when they hoisted the flag and played Dixie.
But what will be my event? Possum tossin’?
