I don’t really care what Whoopi thinks about anything, but her withholding judgment was reasonable IMO.
Until Cosby’s lawsuit testimony came out, there was not a shred of evidence to corroborate any of the accusers’ stories, and many of them had credibility issues.
Even after the testimony came out, there wasn't anything to sink your teeth into. He basically admitted to having party materials on hand for the girls, and make no mistake... back in the 70's that was pretty much standard operating procedure.
In my college days, lots of girls loved "downers", and Qualudes were top of the line. No one would pass out from a qualude or two, and if they did it meant they were already well on their way to being wasted.
If he had thought there was anything wrong with that, then he wouldn't have admitted to it in the deposition.
I do think he's sleazy for using his position of power to sleep with naieve young women... but that's not illegal.
