So taking a bribe is somehow BETTER than being stupid?
You can’t fix stupid, to be sure. But it is all but impossible to rehabilitate a broad streak of dishonesty, either.
Stupidity is the one crime in the universe from which nobody escapes punishment. Dishonesty, however, can be either concealed or shuffled off to the side and no prosecution may ever be brought within one’s lifetime.
And there are an awful lot of dishonest people who are escaping prosecution all the time.
Christ kicked over the tables of the money-changers at the steps of the temple. This was really a very secular act, and one that The Donald is carrying out very well. It doesn’t make The Donald into Christ, but he is certainly following precedent.
Iconoclasts are not always recognized as heroes, but they do perform a very necessary service. And so far, there is very little pushback on what The Donald is doing.
Those who take bribes should be tried and executed if in high positions. Hanged.
