They probably removed the stars and stripes because someone was offended by the symbols of American racism, oppression, and imperialism.Wonder Woman's costume never had stripes: only stars and a lot of red-white-and-blue. The number of stars has largely depended on how skimpy her skirt/shorts were. These days, she has room for about two stars:

Remove any obviously American symbolism. So that she can be a “global citizen”.

Looks like she’s wearing a championship wrestling belt, not what I think of how Wonder Woman looks. I guess I’m just always going to see her as the Lynda Carter Wonder Woman!

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either satire or opinion. Or both.)
To: Citizen Zed
Hollywood apparently felt that Wonder Woman’s traditional patriotic look was something that just couldn’t be tolerated in the upcoming movie.

Since when does Wonder Woman carry a sword?

When it comes to Xena, I’ve always preferred Gabrielle. And Linda Carter will always be my Wonder Woman!

Gal Gadot does not have Linda Carter’s figure by far.
They need another actress and a better more American costume.

With red and blue you got three choice:
1. Good: Exact red and blue in the American Flag
2. Bad: Cranberry and Midnight Blue suggesting that a pall has been laid over a once great nation, or
3. Ugly: Mauve and Teal like at that notorious gay Democrat National Convention a few years back.

Good pics. How’d you like Comic-Con this year? This was my 12th year and it’s getting kind of exhausting for me. ; )

I enjoyed it. The wife and I are a little older and we are tiring of it. This may be our last year, we'll see.
I know people who know people (that's about all I can say). I can and do get badges any time I want. :-)
