Progeria is well known and has been studied extensively. There is no cure.

Progeria is more interesting than the average disease. This is because understanding progeria might lead to a cure to a far more common disease.

In the meantime, consider progeria as a convenient biological analogy to Progressivism. Different types of afflicted organism, but same result!
