Debris on Expressway 83 causes traffic jam in Harlingen

A "very large piece of iron" caused the traffic jam, according to information released by the Texas Department of Transportation.
At 6:41 a.m. the Department of Transportation received a call about unknown debris on the road. A crew arrived 10 minutes later and discovered the piece of iron.

Dangerous as all hell. I had a tractor trailer kick up a broken leaf spring with his wheels and it impailed me right thru my windshield. I barely survived.
Junk on the highway is deadly!
