Ive travel all over the world to do computer network consulting jobs ...even Red China..and I've done it up in Canada...they are really anal about this.. they are one of the worst country's to come it to and do anything that even can remotely called work.. they will kick you out so never say you are visiting for business at the border

I’ve taught seminars in Canada and had to jump thru multiple hoops to get it approved, including demonstrating that no equally qualified Canadian was available.
Which is requiring you to prove a negative and is essentially impossible.

Every time I have had to work in Canada, I got a Canadian work permit (nice, fancy piece of paper stapled in my passport). This required paying a fee to the Canadian government, sometimes a fee to the provincial government, and hiring a dude with “QC” appended to his name.
