I hate diesels. They stink, they’re noisy, and the strange people who own them love to leave them running. Ambulance crews pull up to food vendors and sit with the engine running, ruining everyone else’s meal. Armored cars fill supermarkets with stench. Every dump truck in the nation seems to belch lung scarring soot. Diesel wreaks before and after it is burned. But the worst thing is how diesel owners go on and on about how perfectly wonderful they are.
The new diesel engines from Europe are terrific.
Not saying that never happens, but where I come from there are idling restrictions on trucks. Basically in most urban areas you can’t leave a truck idling the way you used to so it has slipped from common practice.
Diesels built for automobiles haven’t been noisy for quite a while.
i love diesel. my car and pick up are both diesel. my tractor and zero turn mower are both diesel. diesel costs about the same as 87 octane here.
These aren’t your father’s diesels............................
