Ha.. good thought about the alcoholic slugs. Going to try that once the rain lets up. San Antonio is again drenched. Cukes are the summers winner so far. Been through a dozen of them and they are delicious. I am using them instead of Mozzerella for my caprese salad. (Forced weight reduction mode) Also use them in my Japanese cuke salad.
Few green tomatoes out there. Already picked some and they are far better than the store. My jalapenos and green peppers never materialized. Plants are big and getting flowers, but they won’t close the deal. Will wait until the sun comes out and give them another week or so. If nothing, they can kiss their pepperbutts goodbye.
Corn broke through. Will see how that fares. Carrots are drenched so not sure what they will do. I still have 3 squares in each 4x4 open for planting. Any suggestions for June in San Antonio?

Heat can be a factor in fruit set. Is it hot in Texas right now?
