Is he British? I thought he did a good job of playing Richard Winters in Band of Brothers.
He IS British. I was about knocked over the first time I heard him talking with the accent. He did an amazing job as Dick Winters and was excellent in Homeland as well. I don’t know that I would be able to see him as Bond, though.

For those who haven’t seen him in an American series called “Life”, where he played a police detective, you can get it on streaming. I saw it on Netflix or Amazon.
I remember thinking he was very athletic when the part called for it - and didn’t seem to be all editing either.
