Telfs-Buchen, Austria (CNN)President Barack Obama said Monday his top national security advisers were still working to solidify training plans for Iraqi defense forces battling ISIS in their own country.

"We don't yet have a complete strategy because it requires commitments on the part of the Iraqis," Obama said during concluding remarks at the G7 conference in Germany, citing recruitment as a key stumbling block facing the central government in Iraq.

Critics of the administration's strategy in Iraq seized upon the President's comments Monday, claiming they indicated a policy failure and referencing similar comments Obama made in August.

"What has President Obama been doing for the last 10 months?" the Republican National Committee wrote Monday. House Speaker John Boehner took the attack another step, responding to Obama with a tweet of a popular emoticon of a person shrugging as a shorter summary of Obama's strategy.

No Strategy but ,Obama has a Plan , spread Islam over as much of the World as possible and ISIS is his tool to do it. If he destroys ISIS all the Muslims will want to go home

In one breath, he blames the Pentagon for not providing him a usable strategy, and in the next breath he blames the Iraqi government for not training enough troops.

[Notice who he does NOT blame. Notice he does NOT take it upon himself to act presidential and get a strategy. It is doubtful he would even know how to develop a workable strategy, and that is why it is easier to place the blame elsewhere.]

Obama has been following the same plan as Bush did; wishful thinking.

Twelve years since 2003, and a unified nation named Iraq is NOT something the locals get patriotic and want to die for.

There is a shortage of Iraqis that volunteer to be trained.

We learned recently, in a repeat performance, that they run away from fights and leave behind $ billions of US equipment; Humvees.

A nation called Iraq didn’t exist 100 years ago. Joe Biden probably was closer to reality than most others, when he said dividing Iraq into 3 parts made the most sense.

"What has President Obama been doing for the last 10 months?"

Reggie.

He will never have a strategy because it is against the koran to kill an fellow muslim. OTOH, his strategy for taking down the US is coming along swimmingly.

Only problem is that Iraq will be downplayed as a failure, and the top politicians and news figures say that since no American forces die overseas, then we are okay.” I don’t like the sound of that though.
