Yep. I’ve met them. They not only scam the gov’t, they scam their friends and acquaintances.

None of this changes until the money runs out. When and how is unknown but it will run out. The Soviet Union ran out of money, maybe it will happen like that.

so take the money from the people who made and received the payments and fire them and if there was criminal activity put them in prison. i’ve read stats that 40% of disability if FRAUD... AND same with the IRS... look, a government job from the president on down is nothing but a form of welfare to begin with... they treat themselves like royalty and are SERVANTS of the PUBLIC.... used to be a government job was (and still is) filled by the F students.... THE TAIL IS WAGGING THE DOG THESE DAYS... WASH DC LOOKS LIKE IMPERIAL ROME... and will fall just like it too.

The Democrat leaders have figured out how much money each person in America should have.

It’s just socialism with better accounting.

I’m one of those who get SSDI. I had to get cancer to do it, but by golly, I persevered. Got cancer twice more, just to stay on it!

That’s just not true. I’ve heard there’s a “short list” of things that, if you have those things, you get approved right off the bat. I know that I got approved in two months (cancer)

I know some people are getting undeserved payments but I also know that a lot of people in this state have had to struggle for years to get disability even though a whole group of doctors told them for years they should not be working when they were and when they could no longer manage to work were turned down over and over for disability benefits. I also know someone who worked in the disability office for a short time and left it to become a parole officer. He said that he thought when he took the job that he would be doing real casework but was told that he would NEVER approve a disability claim, his sole purpose was to write up reasons for disapprovals. Approvals could only come from higher up and in that time and place it almost always meant an administrative court judge. I suspect that it may be easier now but there are many horror stories on the other side of the ledger. I have had people tell me that the best way for someone to get approved is to say they are drug addicted but if you read the actual rules they say that addiction is an automatic DISqualifier.

#13 They always deny the first time. Then you are placed on the bottom of the pile and have to re-apply. Unless you have a lawyer who gets money. The laws are written to employ lawyers. If you fill out the forms yourself then you wait but pay some lawyer and you get moved ahead. My sister gets SSI of $802 a month that includes food allowance. Just enough to keep her dependent on the gov’t.

I am paying to get her lasik and cannot transfer the money into her account as she fears she will be denied the SSI as if she came into some money....

Meanwhile billions goes to insiders and are never prosecuted.

As well you should. I don’t get anything because I’m a stay at home Mom with cancer.

Dear Mn loose,

I was denied three times, and THEN I got a lawyer, which by fed law, got 25% of my manifold
monetary reaping.

As I had stated, I AM disabled,
and NOT a Fergusonite.

Dear shimmer,
I was diagnosed, treated, and reconfigured from colorectal cancer at the turn of the Millenium. I have had three resections since, but all of that was NOT my impediment.

By the way, unlike tuberculosis, and unlike my second exwife’s surmise, “ you dont go out and get cancer.”

I applaud the man.

Wearing ‘uniboots’, wearing a pneumatic compression boot over that, for two hours a day, and labeled with congestive heart failure, really opens up the chance to increase my reading library.
