I dedicate this post to JR freeper. I hope you are doing well. I am thinking of what you are passing down to your kids and grandkids and what you have given to us on FR. God bless you. Leatherworking Bowling Archery Letter Writing Martial Arts Hiking Alcohol/Cigar/Pipe Smoking Connoisseur
Obviously, my comment post was arranged incorrectly from lack of diligence. Sorry.
... just a few of my manly hobbies...
I’ll stick with Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty
I’m at 10 out of the 45.
How about chasing women? That's pretty manly, isn't it?
When men were men, there were no Man Caves.
Today, ‘men’ retreat to their space allowed by women. They’re called Man Caves. No real men allowed in.
Good to see Beer Brewing!
21 here. Where are motorcycling and scuba diving?
My youngest and I fabricated a trebuche from stainless and surgical tubing to throw tennis balls for the blue healer. Shot em about 100 feet. Then we built a tornado siren, a kiln, and we’re now building a utility trailer. Keepin busy in the shop... er, cave, we are.
Back in the day, the man of the family worked and his spouse stayed at home. The breadwinner worked a 40 hour week.
TODAY, often both spouses work full time, and the 40 hour work week has morphed into 8-10 hours per day at work, 5-6 days a week, a 2 hour round trip commute, and the rest of the time with the employer expecting you to answer the phone or emails/texts.
I’ll do as I please with my “time off” and the author of this piece can go eff him/herself.
Computer programming? Not anymore full of hipster and pansies. Lots of gals too.
Bible study.
I pull weeds and pick up dog poop frequently.
Fwiw.

The 45 are interesting...
I consider bowling a sub-economic sport (don’t mean to offend anyone but it’s not a sport IMHO). Neither is Beer Pong.
Camping: I get why it’s on the list. It’s manly to pitch a tent and cook over a fire...
I live in the country and really can’t envision camping anymore. Heck! We had a moose run by the house this morning! We hop in the plane and fly to the city - the complete opposite of camping.
Lastly: Ballroom dancing?
I agree with the other poster who mentioned motorcycling and scuba.
Overall this list beats the crap out of the top 45 liberal wussie hobbies:
1) Fondle young boys
2) Women’s studies
3) Gay public sex in SF
4) Learning how to cook school lunches approved by the Obama Administration
5) Volunteering for the Clinton Global Initiative
Feel free to add you own!

I think Lulu means you Johnny, so please weigh in on this thread.
