Why the GOP's 2016 bloodbath is going to be great fun — and instructive
The Week ^ | June 3, 2015 | Paul Waldman

With a remarkable 15 announced or soon-to-announce candidates, including such dynamos as Lindsey Graham and George Pataki, there's still one thing we haven't seen yet: the Republican candidates attacking each other. There's been a vague insinuation here and an implied criticism there, but no real verbal fisticuffs to speak of. But worry not: The negativity is coming, and when it does, it will come fast and hard.

Good article.

It's mostly an opinion piece, but a good read.

At least it'll be entertaining.

Is that his bottom line? And does he seriously believe that the media will not control the negative attacks on Jeb and amplify the ones against Cruz and Walker? Here's a hint for the author: they already have.

I’m waiting for the Hillary bloodbath when her fellow Dems start ripping her to shreds in the primary.

I read some other Paul Waldman pieces. He is anti-war. Ok, fine. He is pro stimulus, not good. He gushes over Obama war on coal, terrible. Paul Waldman is a moron.

You seem to be right.

I was looking for a Trump article but nothing really interesting this morning, but this appeared, it seemed interesting, so I decided “what the heck”.

They guy does seem to have an agenda, now that I search his history.

He loves himself some hyperbole and some Obama:

Republicans are beginning to act as though Barack Obama isn’t even the president

The Washington Post’s Plum Line ^ | March 9, 2015 | Paul Waldman

“It’s safe to say that no president in modern times has had his legitimacy questioned by the opposition party as much as Barack Obama.”

I guess he forgot the “selected, not elected” chant and TWO denials of Bush election night victory speeches. “He STOLE IT!!!” “Yeaarrrggghhhh!”

I haven’t kept up with The Week, surprised at such a bitchy little editorial. Are they losing it?

It really has become a spectator sport for me. It’s sort of my way of “fiddling while Rome burns”.
