A little gift from by buds at DC (I know not the most popular here but this isn't TToE stuff) to my BFF Swordmaker -- proof I don't have a dog in the Apple/Wintel/Android wars.
I am looking forward to some good keywords :)

a most genteel ping...

I guess I would not have thought of that hearing their slogan.
Many slogans are three-part little blurbs. Threes rhythm and tempo and size work in advertising.

I do think it interesting that the time on the clock is 9:30, i.e. not quite 10.

Microsoft has never been accused of marketing genius that I’m aware. That strange ad straight out of “Glee” with snapping Surface keyboards springs to mind.
To: freedumb2003
Why is this at Darwin Central?
And why would anyone have “buds” at Darwin Central, a hot bed of liberal antiChristianism and scientifically illiterate (though they feel knowledgable and sophisticated) atheism fanbois?
The dumbest of the dumb.

Maybe.
The campaign Coca Cola used to market Dasani in the UK was pretty disastrous. ("Bottled Spunk," "Can't live without spunk," "Overpriced tap water" & "Cancer-causing additive")

It’s remarkable that no one caught the Nazi connection. It jumped out at me just seeing the picture and reading the captions.

The Hitler connection is far-fetched.
More relevant, maybe, is how the ad relates to Apple's famous "1984" spot.
The giant head on the screen says, "We are one people, with one will, one resolve, one cause," before it is shattered by the hammer the young woman throws.

Isn’t this the same as what Windows 8 and 8.1 were supposed to be and do?
