Take the cannoli. Leave your pants on.

Yup. With all the tweakers and SJWs out there, it absolutely should be. Unfortunately Subway tastes like crap half of the time. Their meatball subs really went to hell in the last few years.

What I miss fast food wise is the Del Tack Macho Grande burritos from the late 70s. THOSE were awesomely good. The modern ones are OK the last time I had one (been a couple years) but they lacked spice bigtime.

Speaking of which, Anyone familiar with Santa Monica? There used to be a Mexican place named Humbertos or something with an “H”. Non chain store place that was famous for it’s burritos. That was the most incredible burrito I ever had. But I’ll be damned if I can remember the name after all these years. (2001).

Thats a micro-agression you know. In Obamarica If I feel the need to go full commando and wear pizza instead of pants, I have a constitutional right to do so!

Besides, I hate grease burns...

Anyone familiar with Santa Monica?

I've heard of it.

Same way with a bagel I once had years ago. In DC, I think. Water boiled, done to perfection, the flavor and the texture was to die for. Just looking at it was like seeing a work of art. And I'll be damned if I can remember where I got it now. I'd have them sent FedEx on ice if I could track the place down.

Yup. Dunno if a burrito would survive the trip but it would be worth it to find out ;)

The place I’m talking about had been there for like 30 years. Had a rep for them. I don’t know if it still exists or not. Kind of a low end place but it didn’t matter. The cook was an artist.

Ha - some of those 'low end' joints serve up the best food you ever had! A lot of them are family owned, use family recipes, and they put pride into what they do, unlike your usual Ruby McFriday's franchise joints. Blech.

Oh I like low end. Best goat I ever had was in a dive buried in a back corner of Tijuana. Pretty bad when you trust the food in TJ more than the food in America’s fast food joints, but I do.

Maybe so. Both are 10 figure ‘crops’.

He got sacked after refusing the manager's orders to soak rancid-smelling chicken parts in water and bleach so they could cook them and keep costs down.

Get Mikey to eat them. He'll eat almost anything.

(Hey, Mikey! He likes it!)

It isn’t just the joints. Don’t kid yourself about any kitchen that isn’t yours

Did they have to put them there themselves like all the other scams?

Did you read the article? Pizza Hut admitted it and fired the two employees who did it.

No denying that. I cringe every time I see someone send something back to the kitchen in a traditional place for that reason. It’s amazing how hard it is to get to accept what a bad idea that is.

“Well I paid XXX for this meal and it’d gonna be the way I want it!”

Yup it is. With extras.

“Oh that’s bull. you need to lay off the right wing sites for a while.”

Maybe so. But at least I didn’t eat something I’d rather not think about.

A clear violation of their Constitutional right not to be offended, as enumerated in the... uh... amendment about.. um... The one that codifies political (in)correctness... Can’t think of the number right off the bat, but it’s in there. Maury Povich told me so.

Fetch the torches and pitchforks!!
