A historic player is going home.

Derrick Gordon, who is from New Jersey, announced Sunday, on Twitter, he's decided to finish his college hoops career at Seton Hall. It will be Gordon's third school; he began at Western Kentucky, then spent the past three years at UMass.

Gordon announced his intentions to transfer in late March. His move is notable because he became the first openly gay player in men's Division I hoops when he came out in the spring of 2014.

Wow, a star basketball player who didn’t get, or want to get, dozens of starstruck lady groupies. Now I’ve heard of everything.

Dude, it’s not a phobia, it’s plain old disgust.

“It will be Gordon’s third school; he began at Western Kentucky, then spent the past three years at UMass.”

In other words, he’s a malcontent and/or a headcase.

I guarantee you, straight or gay is not really what’s driving this.

Funny...my adult son often makes that observation.

"I'm not afraid of 'em...I just don't like 'em."

While I dislike homosexuals with a passion I do not suffer with homophobia, because satan aint made the sodomite I fear and homophobia is the fear of homosexuals.

He should not be eligible to play if he did three years of Varsity at U. Mass. Assuming that he played Freshman ball at Western Kentucky. Would have used up his playing years eligibility.

I did 4 years of fencing, Freshman and 3 years Varsity. That was all that was allowed unless you skipped a year of playing for certain reason.

And I got my BA on time, an MVP Trophy from Jessie Owens and a wife.

Not sure why he would go to an evil Catholic school...Probably because they’ll take anyone who can pay or get a scholarship.

They cannot understand people have rational reasons for disliking homosexuality.

They don’t get to decide rationality When it comes to my personal and physical medical and security concerns.

Interesting and possibly scandalous that Seton Hall recruited him. On a team far weaker than Seton Hall, he was the fourth best player.

He played two years at U-Mass. He was ineligible the year he transferred. As a fourth-year “Junior,” he is graduating so he can play a fourth playing year (5th year overall) with Seton Hall as a graduate student.

Headcase. Homosexuals are mentally ill; few function normally.
