I had a 1951 Chevy 1500 pickup that had vacuum wipers. As long as you weren't accelerating, they worked just fine. Put the pedal down, and them suckers would stop mid-swipe while you were trying to get up to speed. They would start moving again when you let up on the gas. That was always fun.
