I would assume Charlottesville, Virginia, and Charlotte, North Carolina, were both named for Queen Charlotte. There used to be some Queen Charlotte Islands off the coast of British Columbia but apparently they were renamed in 2010.

There was an earlier Princess Charlotte, the only legitimate child of the future King George IV. She was born in 1796 and died in 1817 shortly after giving birth to a stillborn son. Her husband was later King Leopold I of the Belgians.

Yes, that’s why Charlotte, NC is called the “Queen City”.

If Princess Charlotte had not died in childbirth, England would have been spared Queen Victoria.
