I met her while attending the 30th anniversary convention in Huntsville AL. She was a real Lady.

In her younger days she was NOT GUILTY, especially according to James Kirk.

RIP Yeoman Rand.
I loved her in the episode “Miri”.
That was the one with the rapid aging disease and the little girl who was jealous of her relationship with Capt. Kirk.

Well, she was mid-30s when she was on ST. She worked regularly starting in 1950, but never got a big role. She was in only eight ST episodes, according to IMDB.

I don’t remember Kirk, “doing” Yeoman Rand. I don’t recall it being alluded to either.
I remember that Kirk was unhappy when she was first assigned, and Kirk in general kept a hands off policy with regard to her.

According to Trek histography, Whitney was a substance abuser and “sex addict” who couldn’t be counted upon to know her lines and report to the studio on time, so she was fired after the first eight episodes. She had cameos in later Trek movies.

Isn’t that the episode where she says to Captain Kirk, “I always wanted you to look at my legs. Well, look at them!”
