Tim Chambers of Vista is famous for 5-hour frozen tribute to vets on Memorial Day weekend
VISTA, Calif. Every year on Memorial Day weekend, more than 800,000 motorcyclists rumble through the streets of Washington, D.C., in a display of respect for war dead and military veterans known as Rolling Thunder. And standing at the corner of Constitution Avenue and 23rd Street to acknowledge each and every rider is The Saluting Marine.
Veteran Marine Staff Sergeant Tim Chambers of Vista started his silent vigil on a whim in 2002. Today, he considers the annual effort both his civic duty and his personal ministry.
When I thank these veterans at funerals, its too late to salute them so I want to do it now before its too late, said Chambers, 39, who left the Marine Corps in 2010 after 15 years of service.

God Bless him and Semper Fi from an old Army guy.
There’s still some cement holding this country together.
Howdy JJ, Pingy to you.
RESPECT!
RESPECT INDEED! Love that marine and personally salute HIM.
I would not be surprised if odumbo will make another EO stating that the marine cannot wear his dress blues for said event.
I love the media’s coverage of those spectacular 800,000 motorcycle vets roaring through OUR capital.
Oh wait...
Active Duty/Retiree ping.
I’m actually wondering about that myself. Can he wear his dress blues if he is no longer active?

So yes.
Love the expression on the face of the man saluting Chambers.
