It enjoys huge popularity in the UK, so it exists with the will and support of the people. I am hoping that the new princess will be named Charlotte. George IV’ s daughter, Princess Charlotte of Wales, was much beloved and her early death was mourned just as passionately in Georgian Britain as Princess Diana’s was in 1997.
