They seem like a perfectly nice couple — made into absurdities by the institution of monarchy and the British class system that it props up.
And since you are not a subject of the crown (thanks to brave ancestors of some) your view of the monarchy is a non-starter

There’s nothing absurd about monarchy or a class system. They are elements of the natural order, deeply human, and far more honest and authentic than the sham equality we call democracy.
