My fave tomato soup recipe. You can use regular toms from the store. I can drink this stuff with a straw it is so good.

I make panzanella quite often, but use a balsamic vinegar reduction instead of the red wine vinegar. Just thinking about it creates a waterfall in my mouth.
I’m on low carb. I gotta stay away from this place.
One of my absolute favorite salads when the heirloom ‘matoes ripen. I will be trying this recipe out for sure.
A few years ago I went to a picnic. Brought a big tray covered in nice think slices of a wide variety of heirloom tomatoes, sprinkled with sea salt, covered with a slice of fresh mozzarella with a fresh basil leaf and a drizzle of good olive oil. What a hit that was. Some people there had never tasted a brandywine or a black krim tomato. Everyone raved and it was one of the simplest things to make. Let good ingredients speak for themselves!
Get a lot of requests for the recipe whenever I bring New Potato Salad with Red Onion dressing. Boil new potatoes, halved leaving skin on. Mix mayo, sour cream, chopped red onion and minced fresh dill add salt and pepper to taste. Pour dressing over potatoes, chill slightly.
Simple and delicious.
My mouth is watering just reading your recipe :)

Any cookout has got to have potato salad. As luck would have it, I just got out an old cook book of mine from BHG - Cooking for two”. I’ve had it almost 50 years!
Anyway, since it’s just the two of us, most times, I dug it out of the recesses of the cookbook cabinet to find the recipe, because I was hungry for some potato salad.

2 Tbls celery sliced thin
Add seed mixture, salt, onion, and celery together with potatoes and mix.

Sounds good - I have some stale dense white bread that I made that didn’t turn out quite right. Not good enough to give away, not bad enough to give to the birds....so I’ve been hanging onto it for some formerly unknown reason!
This seems to be a new ‘to door service’ found this morning. Unfamiliar with the business, and although grocery shopping is not a walk in the park, would still prefer to do my own (as well as planning my own menus) However this may be of interest to others here. Perhaps not, as most are already enjoying the Joys of Cooking.
The service is called PLATED It is something unique in how it provides food and help right to your front door (if one lives in the ‘right’ part of the USA

Another way to bring home the bacon?
A new ‘to door service’ was spotted today. The business basically ships food and help to your door if you happen to live in a certain part of the US Though grocery shopping is not exactly a walk in the park - would still prefer to do my own as well as my own menus. As those here have the Joy of Cooking this may (or may not) be of interest. The business is called PLATED information can be found here
