Baltimore has been a big tourist destination in recent years, especially at the Inner Harbor development.
You have to wonder, how many people will vote with their feet and avoid Baltimore now?? You can’t force tourists and conventions to go to a particular place. Both tourists and business decisions can be made to avoid places perceived as dangerous.
Ms.Mayor and her team have work cut out for them in that area. How to convince the world that Baltimore is really a place they want to visit.......

If I were Madame Mayor, each and everyone of those “kids” would make an official heartfelt apology on TV and then commit to at least 4,000 hours of community service each, thereby helping that neighborhood sparkle. If they choose not do that, then it is off to jail for them. Nothing helps self esteem more than good hard work.

I’ve only been to Baltimore once....(15 years ago)..and it was at night to the Inner Harbour for a special dinner at a railroad museum.....(with a group of engineers) and we took a side trip to visit Edgar Allen Poe’s grave...(which was creepy anough)
I would not do that now.....even though a favorite restaurant (which I have visited again) is somewhat near....and has a reputation for the best crab cakes ever!
