If it ain’t broke don’t fix it?

But, it is broke. I am running Win 7 Pro on my home desktop and have had to rebuild the OS twice due to patches being pushed from MS via Dell, cannot even use a restore point. Frustrating to the point of tossing the whole damn thing, except I would have to buy a new one...

What is it about MS products that require a patch every week? Is their s/w that bad? I do not recall Win 3.1 ever having this many issues...

To prevent this in the future=- get rollbackrx- it’s much more powerful than system restore- and WILL revert your drive if an update, virus, Trojan etc ruins your computer on you- I never have to worry about something messing my computer up-

Patches from Dell? That sounds like a hardware issue. What are the patches for? Dell usually lets you sync the updates directly from Microsoft.

Win 7 has been pretty stable for me (both at work and home). I do have my frustrations with it but it is okay (so far, crossing my fingers!).

But yes, I agree with you completely. MS is not the best.
