Sure is - lightweight, very rugged, and an excellent sight picture. My preferred reticle is the "donut" which looks like a dot for a fast shot and like a nice tight peep sight for the long distance shots.

The ACOG has been well-proven in combat by our armed forces and the Israelis' so it's a natural choice. Luckily, I don't need two of them!

When you go into combat, it will serve you well, I'm sure. For me, my optics work much better for shooting tiny little shot groups at the rifle range however which is what I primarily find myself doing.

If I needed to use them in combat, which seems pretty unlikely, I would be perfectly comfortable with either the AR Mod 1 or the Viper PST. I also have a top end tactical Nikon Monarch on an Armalite AR10T which I liked a lot initially but now I feel like it really needs a Vortex PST so I'll probably sell it at some point and switch out.
