Man! I’m so happy to hear you say that! That is one of the most over used stupid phrases in the universe in recent years! Drives me crazy!

Man, I have a screaming bird problem. There are frakkin alarm birds all over the place that start up at 7 am.

He simply called the owner up, in the middle of the night and said, "Your dog is barking." And then he hung up. He only had to repeat the process a couple of times.

An elegant and effective solution...

When we lived in California, our property line was five feet from our house and then five feet to our next door neighbor. They had a dog that barked a lot. But for us, the more obnoxious problem was them blaring music late into the evening. We could sing along in our family room with our TV on and the sound up high. The only solution came when they moved away. After numerous complaints, our homeowners association put a noise restriction into the CC+Rs. There are few things more energy draining than not even wanting to go out into your own yard because the neighbors are out in theirs, knowing (but not caring) that they are making your ‘safe, private place’ unlivable.

Four ‘reached out’s. Can we get rid of that useless phrase?

I'll reach out and see what I can do about that.

Thank you for efforting that.

But don’t you dare touch any illegal aliens with their obnoxious never ending blowers and weed eaters from 730 a.m. to dusk every day of the week.

...

A neighborhood nearby doesn’t use dirt blowers. They use a vacuum that is about one hundred times louder.

Does he use it multiple times daily?

That’s what the poor suckers in the suburbs get with endless blowers and weed trimmers from illegals... No joke.

Not everyday, but when it is used it’s close to all day with a break for lunch. I used to live near a small shopping center. They had a sweeper vacuum truck. It would make a couple of passes, could only be heard for a few seconds, and was done. It wasn’t nearly as loud as this one man banshee vacuum used by the illegals that takes all day.

Listen, we have friends who lives in a suburb where one neighbor has the illegals over with their blowers and weed eaters, then the next day the neighbor on the others side, the next day behind her, next day across the street and then it starts all over again...Over and over and over.

So loud, so much noise even his wife said they were ready to go to war over it.

I agree. It has to be painful. The minute it gets painful for the irresponsible owner, it will end.

Not that you were irresponsible, it seems like you had no idea that was going to happen and you took care of it when you found out it did.

Now that they build on 7,000 square foot lots, the days of having an outside dog are over. Here in Phoenix, it's ridiculous, they go out and impulsively buy 2, 3 and 4 of these yippy bark machines. The novelty wears off and they try and throw them out in the back yard.

Tell that to me.

No, they cannot bark as much as they want all day.

Trust me, I live right next to a couple of nuts and if you cannot get them to shut up, take them in. Doesn’t matter what time of day. Endless barking for hours is unnecessarily annoying and disruptive.

They don’t bark all day because I couldn’t stand that either.

Get rid of “passionate” too. What a lame word

Had that annoying problem for 2 summers.

Then I bought this bad boy: Dog Silencer Pro

Laughed my butt off when chatting with the neighbor and he says, "Yeah, she's finally settling down and not barking so much." I smiled and then told him I was using a military grade dog silencer aimed at his barking dog. She would still alarm bark, but that annoying issue of barking to hear herself make noise all but stopped.

Well that’s good. :-)

My neighbor’s Papillons are neurotic. Scared of everything and won’t stop barking even long after they’ve seen us whenever we come out. Can’t have nice back-deck picnics without them ruining everything (they are 10 feet from us when they come outside). The good thing is neighbors got the message, but are mad at us and won’t talk to us anymore (long story). They are now really jumpy about it and pack up the dogs at the least start. If I come out, she’s after them. If we have a dog come out and meet them at the fence, she wants them in. I don’t mind a dog barking for 5 or 10 min until he’s satisfied; it’s the incessant neurotic never-ending that they were doing (especially when I had a baby and I myself was trying to nap just 20 ft from their corner INSIDE our house).

I had a German Shepherd (died last year) and occasionally visitor dogs. I don’t mind and understand if they are “after” each other at the fence, but if they won’t let it go, that is another thing. Or cannot tolerate even the sight of someone across the street - yap yap yap for an HOUR if they let them. Yes, they will not give it up. These are not normal dogs, who give it up if they see no threat. I think they are treated too much like “babies” as little dogs often are.

That’s what I mean. I would never let my dogs act like that. If something made my GS’s keep barking, I’d be after them or take them in in 10 min. But they would not be neurotic enough to keep it up without some reason.

If there is something winding my dogs up enough to bark for more than a minute or two I bring them in to settle them down.

They don’t bark at the neighbors. They just sit and watch when the kids are out running around next door.
