A group of female webcomic artists and online radio hosts have been ejected from the Calgary Expo, a Canadian pop culture convention, after publicly disagreeing with members of a feminist panel discussion.
Staff at the expo informed them that they had received reports of harassment at the panel, but footage of the discussion shows that no such behaviour took place. Consumers accused the Calgary Expo of engaging in political intolerance, and have begun a boycott of the conventions sponsors.

proof positive :)
Well, becoming the victim and proving an all-out conspiracy that you are the victim is rediculous, and the loud channels of feminism are broadcasting that. Chances are the group was just tired of playing victim cards and wanted to move on.
Feminism’s primary target is the truly feminine woman. They insist on pretending a grievance over not being treated like men, in many situations. The girl who enjoys being a girl—as in an old Doris Day song—is hardly going to benefit from a mindset that treats the sexes as competing (rather than complementary) interests.
That too, some women just like being viewed and treated as women.
Gotta love their tolerance.
Which wave threw out what wave?
1st wave = Rational Feminists (the Susan B anthony types)
2nd wave = Crazy types (bra burning vader ginsberg types )
3rd wave = Cats in a bag with snales cray cray (kill all men types)
My wife and I have talked through gamergate and related battles and come to the conclusion that feminists win many of their battles by slinging mud and shame...
Gamers are already a tiny bit anti-social and the mud and shame slinging doesn’t evoke the same response as it does from the general public. Their response is to throw back... The feminists as a group are not used to taking on a hard target, and have not fared well in that battle.
It is now expanding past just gamers and into the fantasy/scifi crowd. I read an excellent blog post (linked right here on free republic) about the sad puppy campaign. One more example of a group starting to push back and say that the left pushed it too far.

I think you’re beginning to see public mockery of SJWs and SJWs CAN’T STAND IT.
I read their literature at the time, and a lunatic like Andrea Dworkin was not an aberration. Most feminist leaders expressed opinions not too different from her wacko beliefs.
Susan Brownmiller wrote a book "Against Our Will" where she said ALL MEN!! were complicit in the oppression of women. ALL MEN!!! were evil, nasty, slimy creatures who should have been thrown in a deep, dark pit according to those feminists.
They're still at it as shown by the latest fake rape crises. These leftist wackos will never stop their crusade against men AND America.
Agreed.
They want women to have a choice - but not to stay home, not to work part time to balance kids and career, but charge equally hard with the guys, regardless of what she wants.
Sorry, Breitbart got played here by not doing journalism. This group was kicked out for misrepresenting their credentials and disrupting panels, ie denying others their freedom of speech. Then pulling alinsky tactics when they got busted. I agree with the aim of the group, but the Expo was within their rights. Had nothing to do with counter-feminist viewpoints.

As far as I’ve seen, they made only one statement in a forum that they were allowed to make a statement at. Otherwise, there’s been no discernible proof that I’ve seen from Calgary Expo that they did anything other than received 25 or so claims of “harassment” because they were selling GG-themed products.
If you have contrary info, please feel free to educate us.
Even the way Kotaku covers it, it doesn’t seem like they were disruptive in any way. Also, they had Gamergate merch but didn’t identify as Gamergaters. I don’t really get why they should be booted from an expo for just having merch unpopular to SJWs.

Your own Kotaku link does show that they were disruptive. More coverage here.

Not siding with the SJW’s, just don’t condone the Alinsky/Code Pink behavior and subsequent misinformation campaign that was part of their gameplan. That’s not who we are. If they wanted a platform they could have hosted their own panel.

I read the Mary Sue report and it doesn’t seem like they disrupted at all, but “derailed,” which seems to mean that they asked a question that the panelists didn’t want to answer. They were allowed to pose the question (they were given the mike) by the panelists. If you read carefully, the Mary Sue characterization simply states:
“Their questions did take up quite a bit of time at the panel and served to derail the topic onto another tangent, which was frustrating for the panel and for those in the audience.”
I don’t know if that warrants ejection. Anyway, it’s an interesting event - thanks for providing an alternative view.
