He is a veteran.
He was thinking about committing suicide.
But when he called the suicide hotline for veterans, he says he wasnt helped he was put on hold.
Ted Koran experienced deep depression on Saturday night, so much so that he considered killing himself, the Florida Air Force veteran told WFTS-TV.
I was missing my wife, he said of his life partner Karen, who died of cancer six months ago.
In his pain, he turned to the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Hopefully, he channels his frustration into helping other vets. Maybe he could volunteer to man the phones for the VA. They’ll probably turn him down, but maybe he could volunteer with Wounded Warrior or some other private organization. He’s hurting, but maybe he could help himself, by helping others in the same boat.
He said the 60 rescue animals he cares for are the only reason he’s here today.
Hopefully, Robin Paul isn't one of the social workers there....
