First person singular subject pronoun versus first person singular object pronoun.

“You and me paid for the Scooby van.” Hmm...don’t know if that’s correct; “me,” an object pronoun used as a subject pronoun.

“You and I paid for the Scooby van.” That sounds right; “I” used as a subject pronoun.

Confusion might be in my use of the passive voice, instead of the active voice. I should do better.

Thoughts?
