You’re right. It’s not about electric vehicles.
It’s about government sticking its nose where it doesn’t belong.
If there is one theme that is tantamount in Free Republic, it is the desire to reduce the impact of big government on the private sector, but because you hate Musk, you don’t care what the government does in this area.
Make up your mind. If it’s okay for big government to drive the private sector when you agree with the politics being used, then your morality is relative.
That’s sad to see here.
“Its about government sticking its nose where it doesnt belong.”
You mean like trying to force others to subsidize a boondoggle vehicle so that hipsters can feel good about themselves?
And GM owned the EV1, the people had test program leases, those leases canceled at the end of the program.
How hard is that to understand?
No magic conspiracy, no grand cabal involved.
YOU make up your mind.
You seem to think Government is Good when it is forcing others to pay for some third party to own a feel good vehicle via taxpayer subsidy, or trying to force everyone to drive an EV.
And GOVERNMENT had nothing to do with the EV1 being canceled.
I wonder what Edison’s cost? Considerably less than the Tesla I imagine.

And better looking than a Tesla:
