I've know this for a long time. I think growing up a preacher's son helped him with his acting, too. He was sure taught how to get up in front of a big audience.

Amen, and I'll raise you one: I think we have many present day actors that can hold their own in any contest, including the greats of the past like Bogie, Wayne, Stewart, and all the greats. We have many new greats. Denzel is way up on that list even before reading this. He's a great actor. We're blessed.

Liked him in “Flight”-very good movie about redemption and owning up to your misdeeds.

Just watched him in the recent new rental, “The Equalizer”. (based on the 80’s tv show) It was ok.
