WW2 ended too soon for the Bearcat to see combat.

At one time i thought I read that there were only 1 or 2 bearcats still around. Are these repros?

When I was a kid, F8Fs were flown by reservists at Glenview NAS, Glenview, Il in the early fifties. I remember them doing tree-top level passes over my hometown of Highland Park, Il, counting on being too fast for anyone on the ground to get their “buzz numbers.” The ANG out of O’Hare flew P-51Ds and the Bearcat drivers loved to bounce the Mustangs, leaving them in their dust.
