Downtown Memphis though.

Store will not survive the Memfrica culture that surrounds it.

I dunno. I’ve lived in Shelby County and surrounding area nearly all my life, and I’ve never been a fan of downtown. BUT - when AutoZone built the Redbirds AAA Baseball park, (Opened 15 years ago, yesterday) things began to turn around a bit. And it keeps getting better.

Lots of good places to eat, see concerts, etc. Downtown Memphis is amazingly better than it used to be. I thought the Bass Pro Shop was the stupidest idea ever, and the contract negotiations went on so long, I was sure they would back out. But they didn’t.

If downtown Memphis can appeal to THIS life-long cynic, it really has a chance. I’ll be going to Bass Pro very soon.
