The female accuser in the altercation that led to former Alabama defensive tackle Jonathan Taylor being arrested on domestic violence charges Saturday has recanted her accusations, according to a release from the Tuscaloosa Police Department.
Taylor, who was dismissed from Alabama's team Sunday following the incident, was charged with domestic violence third-degree assault and domestic violence third-degree criminal mischief.
The 24-year old accuser told police that she had been in a verbal confrontation that turned physical with the 6-foot-4, 335-pound Taylor, according to the release.
Police arrested Taylor after the accuser told them that he caused injuries to her neck and damaged property in her apartment.

We have the same issue here in AZ. ASU star athlete was arrested for Domestic violence and now the victim is recanting. Let's see if the coaches from both Universities cave to the Race hustlers and reinstate them.... I understand Taylor was kicked off Georgia football team for the same issue....

What charges are being brought up against the anonymous “24 year old accuser?”

So, you think it is O.K. for a female to file a false report? And that it’s Ok for a man, any man, to have his life ruined because of a false report?

Ok. Well maybe they’ll arrest her again for lying to the police about the incident not happening then?

It might be a false report which she voluntarily recanted, or it might be a true report which she was threatened into recanting. If the accusation was against some random white nerd, I would think the former. Against a football player, it just might be the latter.

“Might be” shouldn’t get you arrested and kicked off the team. And thrown out of the University.
You got something against football players? Or just Black football players?

I’m sure I could find a couple of white football players around. We’re not talking basketball.

You make an antagonistic statement then play the victim? You don't get that right
after the comment you made by insinuating racism to another poster.
Get your head on straight.

Of course not, if it was a false claim she should be prosecuted. However, it seems to me that I read the police found evidence to suggest domestic violence hence the arrest. Also, since Taylor has a history of domestic violence the fact the victim has recanted would be a little suspicious to me.
The one here in AZ the victim recanted; however, a witness called in the domestic violence and witnessed the actual assault.
In both of these cases if is shown by evidence the assault did not happen the players should be reinstated and whoever filed a false claim prosecuted. I just find it amazing these athletes put themselves in these situations. Especially, with all of the attention on this issue and the severe punishment that goes with it.

Here is the statement I was replying to:
“If the accusation was against some random white nerd, I would think the former. Against a football player, it just might be the latter.”
I’m not the one that brought race into it. I’m some “random white nerd”. And you’d believe me over a black football player. Why?
Or maybe over just some random football player? But I don’t think so.

And if he couldn’t run fast and tackle people on a football field, no one would give a rat’s butt about him...or her.
