Are there no Religious leaders in Indiana standing with Pence?

All these conservative talk show hosts who REFUSED to stop bleeding over the air about the drunken frats and their racist rant, an event that, in their eyes, was comparable to the nineteen Egyptians that were beheaded by the Muslims, must be shocked that the purity they generated through their self-flagellation did not placate the liberals and quell their venom-spitting frenzy occasioned by the Indiana law.

What the lugbut crowd has made this out to be is ridiculous. People want to not participate in their celebrations without the gummit breathing down their throat. People have long been live and let live about it otherwise, but their patience grows thin when the lugbut crowd gets in their faces.

Regardless, even if no such law exists, God never got knocked off of His throne and should be ever more earnestly sought as the battle intensifies. He wanted to be earnestly sought anyhow, but sometimes it takes the risk of losing it to get us to be jealous about it.

With all due respect to religious leaders, it wouldn’t be surprising if religious leaders are clueless about Section 1 of the 14th Amendment.

As mentioned in related threads, one of the reasons that Section 1 of the 14th Amendment was made is to prohibit the states from unreasonably abridging constitutionally enumerated rights, the 1st Amendment-protected right of religious expression in this case.

From a related thread …

14th Amendment, Section 1:

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States [emphasis added]; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

Note that the “privileges or immunities” term which John Bingham, the main author of Section 1 used in that section, is just another way to refer to constitutionally enumerated rights, most of these rights listed in the Bill of Rights.

If I remember correctly, I think that Bingham borrowed the “privileges or immunities” language from Article IV, Section 2, Clause 1.

Clause 1: The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to all Privileges and Immunities of Citizens in the several States.

So state religious freedom laws not only compliment constitutional protections by protecting business owners who have religious convictions, but they also help to prevent a state from unthinkingly violating the 14th Amendment which pro-gay activist states have already done imo.

No.

I will no longer accept RINO’s because they are the best of two awful choices. Pence needs to KNOW that if he turns his back on us, we conservatives will turn our back on him.

The left will hate him no matter what he does, he has no choice in matter. His choice is whether he wants the right to hate him too. It’s THAT simple.

The five on fox and shep smith appear to side with the left. They say polls have already decided the issue, so everyone just needs to accept it. My guess is they asked leading questions or gotcha questions. Fox is as bad as the others, maybe worse...wolf in sheep clothing.

You really want to stand with Indiana, then hit back harder than the Left is hitting. If the idiot Governor of Connecticut calls for a boycott of Indiana, then let the other side call for a boycott of Connecticut. If the CEO of Apple opens his big mouth, then close it with a boycott of all Apple products by the millions who say they stand with Indiana. I do not condone it, but a few broken windows hear and there at Apple stores wouldn’t hurt either. Once I see that, then I will know that those who say they stand with Indiana and religious freedom are serious. Our side who appear in the media should stay focused on labeling the other side what they are and what they are doing now, totalitarian. Remember, the prevent defense rarely works.

Personally, I wouldn’t be rushing to his defense at this point.

Emailed him yesterday in support, and know many of my fellow Indiana clergy are doing the same. Reckon a phone call won’t hurt. I do not take kindly to public deviance pushed upon a population. It is not so much a matter of religious freedom as plain old civility.
