1.) Eleanor Holmes Norton Doesn’t Think We Have the Right to Know When Our President Is Selling Us Down the River
Totalitarian Eleanor Holmes Norton, the non-voting House Delegate from D.C. believes the American people and their representatives in Congress haven’t the right to know all that is going on in government. “You don’t have a right to know everything in a separation-of-powers government,” claimed Norton. “That is the difference between a parliamentary government and a separation-of-powers government.” Norton’s statements were made in reference to subpoenas created by Congressman Darrell Issa’s House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. According to Norton, as the subpoenas were nothing but “fishing expeditions,” the White House should not have to answer them. We “don’t have a right to know” everything that the administration does, she said, during the committee meeting chaired by Issa.
My opinion: Would someone give this lady a copy of the Constitution? We live in a Constitutional Republic, and for the low information voter, that means we elect our government officials and their powers are specified in the Constitution. How are we to make a valid decision at the polls if we don’t know what our elected officials are doing? Obamacare was passed in the dark of night, with San Fran Nan Pelosi saying “you have to pass it to know what’s in it.” Sorry, but that isn’t the way it is supposed to go. But what can we expect from lawmakers interested in reelection rather than doing the work of the people?

If she’s too dumb to pull into a parking space, why should I take anything she says seriously?
My thoughts exactly! Can’t even park a car, and is lecturing citizens on our right to know what our government is up to?
She thinks that separation of powers mean that government doesn’t have to share information with the governed????? HellOOOOOO????? knock knock. Anybody home??????
