I know a guy with a wife from Scotland. He 's been there many times visiting her family, and he loves good Scotch .....uh....whisky. He insisted that if it's Scotch, it has to be spelled without the e. I personally don't get too excited about the difference.

There are over 1,000 Loch’s in Scotland, but only ONE LAKE: Lake of Menteith.
